These one-of-a-kind mixed media artworks are created on reclaimed wood salvaged from the kitchen cabinetry of a South Florida home built in the 1960s. By giving new life to materials rich with history, each piece carries its own character, texture, and story, making it far more than just a painting, it's a piece of Florida's past reimagined through contemporary art.
The natural imperfections, grain, and aged patina of the reclaimed wood become an integral part of the artwork, creating depth and authenticity that simply can't be replicated on traditional canvas. Combined with bold colors, expressive textures, and mixed media techniques, these pieces blend history, craftsmanship, and modern artistic expression into a truly unique collection.
Sold as a matching set, these companion pieces are designed to be displayed together, creating a striking focal point in modern homes, coastal interiors, creative spaces, or private art collections.

Each artwork is handcrafted by Miami artist Javier Corrales, ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Custom commissions are always welcome. If you're interested in a similar piece created on reclaimed wood or another unique surface, I'd be happy to create something specifically for your space.
